Private Family in Roslyn, NY Seeking a Live-In or Live-Out Companion / Caregiver

Position: Full-Time Companion / Caregiver

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, approximately 12-hour days, you can stay overnight, it's more convenient

Salary: $40 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

A warm and welcoming private family located in Roslyn, NY is looking to hire a compassionate and professional Live-In Companion/Caregiver to provide dedicated care for their 91-year-old mother, who resides with one of her daughters. The family values kindness, patience, discretion, and someone who is committed to building a long-term relationship.

Client: 91-year-old woman requiring companionship and assistance with activities of daily living.

Home Size: Private residence.

Pets: None.

Household Staff: None.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Provide medication reminders and help ensure the prescribed care plan is followed.
• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals for both the mother and daughter.
• Drive to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and other outings as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry, organizing, tidying, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Support the daughter with caregiving responsibilities and household tasks.
• Monitor the client's well-being and communicate any concerns to the family.
• Provide long-term companionship and support, with the opportunity to continue assisting the daughter in the future.

Requirements

• Prior professional experience caring for elderly clients in a private household or similar setting.
• Excellent references.
• Legal to work in the United States.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable driving the client and family members to appointments and errands.
• Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy meals.
• Ability to make a long-term commitment to the family.
