About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead our HR function and partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team in driving our people strategy.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing HR initiatives that support business growth, organisational effectiveness, and a high-performance culture. You will oversee the full employee lifecycle, provide trusted advice to leaders on complex people matters, and ensure HR practices remain commercially sound, legally compliant, operationally effective and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Human Resources function and develop the Company’s people strategy, HR governance framework, and operating model to support business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on workforce planning, organisational design, leadership capability, succession planning, remuneration, and people strategy.
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver strategic HR solutions that enhance organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and business performance.
  • Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, internal mobility, promotions, payroll, and offboarding, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality people operations.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, restructures, and employment-related risk.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, employment documentation, and governance frameworks in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive talent management and organisational development initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, capability building, and performance management.
  • Partner with Finance and senior leaders to oversee remuneration, benefits, job levelling, workforce planning, budgeting, and reward governance.
  • Lead organisational change initiatives, including restructures, operating model transformation, and change management to support business growth.
  • Leverage HR metrics and workforce analytics to identify trends, manage people risks, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement through HR projects, process optimisation, system enhancements, and the adoption of HR technology to improve operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and service-oriented culture, working closely with Legal, Compliance, Payroll, Finance, and Talent Acquisition to deliver effective people solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership responsibility across HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, HR Operations, Payroll, and People Strategy.
  • Proven experience leading an HR function and managing HR teams within a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership to develop and implement people strategies that support business growth and organisational transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, workplace relations, performance management, remuneration, and HR governance.
  • Experience supporting multi-site, multinational, or international operations, with exposure to HR practices across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, organisational change, restructures, and employment risk.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, professional services, or another regulated industry is highly regarded.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential to effectively support regional stakeholders and cross-border business operations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence, challenge, and build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and people management skills, with a proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
