End Date: 11-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans that help them regain independence
• Deliver skilled occupational therapy services in alignment with physician orders and referrals
• Create and update individualized treatment and discharge plans based on patient progress
• Document all services accurately and in a timely manner
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) according to practice acts and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and facility standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)
• Active South Dakota OT license, or the ability to obtain one before starting
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities
• Ability to supervise COTAs in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
• A passion for helping patients improve their daily living skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Occupational therapy interventions to enhance independence
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with care teams and families
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing OT practice
• Supervision and mentorship of COTAs
